Hello!
In Advanced Reading and Writing and Social Studies, we will practice reading and writing strategies. To practice these strategies, we will use content from a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts. These strategies are to prepare you for your next goals for taking the Reasoning in Language Arts and Social Studies sections of the GED® exam, and as well as support your reading and writing needs at work and in college.
This course is an online remote class. We will use Zoom through our D2L site on myPCC. Classes will be recorded in case you miss a class, you can go back to review anything missed. The first 2 hours are class, and the last hour is for students who need extra support. You will have about 2+ hours of homework a week.
I provide all materials, and all can be accessed on D2L. I will email you during the week before class starts with instructions to help you log onto our site and prepare for Day 1.
