Details about this class
Hello and Welcome Intermeiate Reading and Writing students!
Details about Spring 2024 ABE/GED class:
For this remote class, the majority of classwork is done in Zoom Live Classes. Assignments are based on what is covered during the class time.
- This class meets remotely through Zoom on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 6:00 pm - 8:50 pm. Daily class attendance is mandatory, and while video is not required it is encouraged and very much appreciated. With instructor approval, you are also able to move through the class in a self-paced format. This encourages students who feel comfortable with topics to work ahead as well, those who need to spend extra time exploring a topic to work at their own pace. Contact with the instructor through meetings and email are required.
- The class is supported with a webpage through PCC's learning platform, Desire to Learn (D2L).
- Students will use D2L to submit assignments, post answers to Discussions, and connect with the class via Zoom.
- Students can be provided with a free GED practice voucher upon successful completion of the class.
- Fee-waivers and scholarships available for financial assistance.
Access to this class will be available through your D2L before our first class on Tuesday, April 6, 2024.
All work such as assignments, announcements, etc. is accessed via Google Docs, D2L, Zoom videos. All live classes are recorded.
There will also be pre-recorded videos available on all topics covered as well as links to: lecture notes, homework, and skill-building sets for each.
