This course requires the following technology requirements:
- Laptop (Windows or Macbook) with a working microphone, video camera, and speakers, as well as the room to install additional software and download course materials.
- A smartphone with a working microphone, video camera, and speakers, as well as the room to install additional software and download course materials.
- Audio-editing software (free options will be presented during class).
- PDF reader.
- Headphones that work with your laptop and smartphone.
- Reliable, consistent, and fast wifi – preferably what’s called (2×2). Try this wifi speed test to test your connection.
- An internet browser installed on your computer. If you are not using one already, we recommend that you download one of the recommended browsers. Multimedia plug-ins may be required to allow your browser to access online video or interactive features in D2L and PCC third-party apps.
- Google Drive apps (free via PCC): Docs, Sheets, Forms, Meets, etc.
- Zoom (free via PCC).
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
