Details about this class
Welcome to Developmental Psychology!
How do people grow, develop, and change throughout their lives? This course explores these questions by examining physical, cognitive, and social development from infancy through adulthood. We will integrate key theories and research to understand the patterns and processes that shape human development.
As an in-person course, regular attendance is required to stay engaged with the material and participate in discussions and activities that are essential for learning. In line with PCC regulations, students must attend the first three classes to remain registered in the course. Additionally, students who miss more than half of the scheduled classes will not be able to pass the course.
This course includes in-class discussions, short quizzes, and writing activities to reinforce your learning. No prior background in psychology is required—just a willingness to participate and think critically about human behavior.
A respectful and inclusive classroom environment is essential for meaningful discussions. Disrespectful behavior or hate speech will not be tolerated.
As you prepare for the term, please consider whether this course fits your schedule and commitments. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I look forward to a great term together!
