Details about this class
Welcome! I'm Dr. Mike Christie and I'm excited that you're thinking about registering for this course. Psychology has fascinated me ever since I took PSY101 many years ago, and, even now, I continue to find new and exciting things out about the human mind.
PSY 201AZ is an overview of the psychological sciences focusing on; research methods, biological psychology, consciousness (including sleep), sensation and perception, learning, memory, intelligence, and problem solving.
All course materials (including the assignments and a copy of note slides) are posted within D2L Brightspace. All assignments, quizzes, and tests will be completed within the course's D2L shell. If you would like to see a video with a quick tour of a similar D2L page you may access that here - D2L PSY 201A Course Content Tour.
The class meets in person on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10-11:50AM. We will be meeting on the Southeast campus, in Tabor, Rm142. As this is an in-person course, it is expected that students will attend all class meetings. Attendance on the first day of the course is required in order to stay enrolled in the course. In addition to these meetings, you will spend time outside of class completing assigned readings, studying, and submitting assessments.
