Details about this class

This course functions like a professional rehearsal. We will focus on professional practices in preparation for a live performance. It is not required that you read music notation, but we will learn how to make professional quality charts and discuss music theory as it pertains to the songs we will be performing.

We will perform music drawing from all genres with a focus on understanding the rich history of 20th century American music.

This course is taught by Rachel Brashear. She is a composer, performer, and educator with over 20 years of experience. She holds a BAS in Commercial Music and is an active member of the Portland music industry.

Technology

Instrumentalists must bring their own instruments. Drum kit and amps are provided.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
