Technology

This course is for

·         building a solid understanding for grammar (parts of speech, conjugation, and complex sentence form structures),

·         learning reading/writing skills,

·         developing confidence to interact with peers in Japanese,

·         feeling confident in speaking and listening in an immersive learning community,

·         and learning to accurately write and use Kanji in the context.

Students are required to:

·         read class materials aloud to interact with peers in Japanese,

·         encourage to use JPN IME on discussion posts,

·         interact with peers for participation.

I take time to build a non-threatening, safe, learning community in the classroom where students can feel comfortable making mistakes, learning from each other, asking questions, and challenging themselves.  It is a fun course. However, it is a 5 credit-hour, in-person course that requires studying with small groups and JPN tutors outside class to keep up.  Let’s learn together!

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
