Welcome to CH 222 -General Chemistry II course.

This is fully in person class and the students are expected to attend all the lectures and lab sessions at the Rock Creek Campus.  We will meet in-person on Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 pm-11:50 am (lecture) and on Mondays from 12:30 pm-3:20 pm (lab). 

This course will emphasize you as an active participant in the construction of your new knowledge. Lectures will be interactive, will include completing in-class group problem-solving activities, clicker questions, online homework assignments (smart work), weekly quizzes and two exams (mid-term exam, final exam). The lab portion of the course will consist of hands-on Laboratory  experiments that will familiarize yourself with laboratory techniques/equipment common to chemistry laboratories and reinforce concepts learned in lecture. Compliance with safety rules and general acceptable behavior is expected in the lab.

The required materials for this course can be viewed online at the PCC Bookstore website. I will contact enrolled students by email near the beginning of the term with more information on the course.

Technology

There is no additional technology required for this class.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
