Details about this class
Welcome to an exploration of the living world! In this class, we crack open a cell and take a peek at the machinery inside, to see how it works (not literally; we use a lot of diagrams). It's a collaborative class with lots of working together so you can practice and apply what you are learning. You are going to make some friends in this class.
We will meet twice weekly for lecture/practice, and also once weekly for lab, where you'll carry out experiments and do some discovery science. Most "homework" is done together in class, although there are a few lab assignments. There are weekly lab quizzes, and three exams for lecture.
Technology
There is no additional technology required for this class.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
