Summer Institute

There is no charge to participants for attending the Summer Institute in Portland. However, there may be costs associated with travel and lodging accommodations.

Mentoring

There is no charge to participants for their participation in the mentoring component of Pathways to CTE Licensure.

Licensed teachers who want to add a CTE endorsement

Required Course: Exploring CTE in Oregon is a new course required by the Oregon Department of Education. For teachers participating in Pathways to CTE Licensure this course will be tuition free (Please note that College fees for this course are $65.95.** Any college fees or textbook costs are not covered by Pathways to CTE Licensure).

Work Experience Hours: Costs associated with any necessary work experience will depend on the individual teachers’ professional development plan (PDP). In some cases, there may be no additional costs associated with completing work experience hours. In other cases, individuals may incur costs/fees to obtain necessary training in order to stay current in their subject area expertise.

Education courses for industry professionals who want to become CTE teachers

The table below shows the coursework required to obtain an Oregon restricted teaching license for industry professionals who want to become CTE teachers. Please note that if you have met the Oregon Department of Education’s requirement for any course listed below, you will not need to take that course.
