Instructor: Yashodhan Khajanchee
Yashodhan “Yash” Khajanchee, M.B.B.S., MS, MCR, was born in India, where he went to Medical School and completed his training in general surgery in 1996. In 1999, he was offered a research fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Legacy Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery in Portland, Oregon.
After completion of the Research Fellowship, Yash continued to work in research at Legacy Health Systems until 2009. He then started working in the Providence Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Department. During this period, Yash published 35 peer-reviewed papers in various surgical journals and also presented research work in several international conferences.
During his research years, he started enjoying bio-statistics and developed a strong inclination toward Clinical Research. Therefore, he pursued additional studies, and in 2014 and 2016, he completed a Graduate Certificate Course and a Master’s in Clinical Research, respectively, from Oregon Health and Science University. Yash has been working in Clinical Research at Providence Cancer Institute ever since.
When not working, Yash can often be found in his tiny garage-shop doing woodworking. Yash loves building furniture and doing small home improvement projects. He also enjoys running, and has participated in Race for the Roses for the last couple of years. His other hobbies include photography and driving through the beautiful scenic state highways of Oregon and Washington.
