PDX Bridge provides a support network and personalized services to enable students who have experienced foster care to successfully complete career and educational goals. We offer virtual enrollment support through text messaging, referral to campus-based resources, and a conduit to service providers. To connect with these services, contact:

Financial assistance

PCC Fostering Success is now able to offer a limited amount of student support funds to students who are current or former foster youth. If you have a funding need that will positively impact your success as a PCC student, complete this application and return it to PDX Bridge coordinator at allison.trowbridge@pcc.edu.

Oregon Tuition and Fee Waiver for Foster Youth

This waiver can provide free college tuition for former foster youth under specific conditions. Students must meet the eligibility criteria to qualify and it is age restricted – so don’t delay in finding out if you qualify. More information about the Foster Youth Tuition Waiver.

The Chafee Education and Training Voucher (ETV/ETG)

As a current or former foster youth, you may be eligible to receive up to $5,000 per academic year. More information about the Chafee Education and Training Voucher/Grant (ETV/ETG).

PCC Foundation Scholarships and Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC)

Other ways to receive free money is to apply to the many scholarships from the PCC Foundation and the Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC).
