Setting release dates and restrictions for content
By setting restrictions in the content area, you are limiting access to the “link” to content only. If you have already set restrictions on discussions, dropboxes or quizzes, there is no need to further restrict the link to that item from the content area. Students may still access these items from the navigation bar, so setting dates in the content area is unnecessary.
We recommend setting release dates on modules rather than individual content items.
