Zumba class’s demo rocks Sylvania’s CC Mall

Nearly 25 participants shook, jumped, stomped, grooved and shimmied to Latin and international music on March 7 in Sylvania’s College Center Building.
Instructor Carrie Cramer led the Zumba routine, which took place on the carpeted area outside the Veterans Office in the Upper Mall area from 11 a.m. to noon. Aerobics, interval training, body sculpting movements and easy-to-follow dance steps were incorporated throughout.
Group exercise opportunities for students, staff and faculty are becoming more commonplace at Sylvania; a mid-day volleyball tournament was held in late February and a boot camp obstacle course is planned for March 9.
