Thanks to Logan Gilles for these great photos from last night’s terrific town hall at PCC’s Southeast Center.
We drew about 70 people to talk about a wide array of topics, including the state budget.
Top picture, from left, features Reps. Ben Cannon and Michael Dembrow, whose districts include the area served by the Southeast Center. With them is Rep. Peter Buckley of Ashland, co-chairman of the budget-writing Ways & Means Committee. He dropped by to offer a master class on State Budgets 101.
I used to be the Capitol Bureau chief for the Salem newspaper, and I learned a ton from Rep. Buckley’s presentation. It was amazing.
In the second picture, Sen. Jackie Dingfelder razzes Dembrow to the laughter of the crowd. This is good news, because normally she picks me to razz in public. Thanks, Rep. Dembrow. Appreciate you taking one for me.
