Blog: ‘Hill visits’ scheduled for D.C.

Photos and Story by

Top officials from Oregon’s 17 independent community colleges will be flying to Washington, D.C., next week to lobby our congressional delegation.

PCC is sending a contingent including President Preston Pulliams.

Plans call for meetings with U.S. Reps Kurt Schrader, Earl Blumenauer and Greg Walden, plus Sen. Ron Wyden on Tuesday. The next day, the community college folks will meet with Reps. Peter DeFazio and David Wu, then Sen. Jeff Merkley.

I’ll be posting from D.C. early next week to let you know how it goes.
