PORTLAND, Ore. – Is your novel-in-progress still sitting on a dusty shelf? Let Portland Community College help you close the book on writer’s block and turn the pages to achieving your dreams of a published novel. Fiction Writing Workshop, a non-credit class led by instructor Myrna Oakley, offers an intensive week of critiquing to take your novel to the next level. Discover how to work like a pro and achieve substantive progress. Bring a two-page synopsis and an annotated list of main characters, as well as a three-ring binder, and come away with the inspiration and specific techniques you need to finally finish. This one-week class will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday, June 21 through Friday, June 25, at Riverdale High School, 9727 S.W. Terwilliger Blvd. Cost is $89, plus a $10 fee payable to the instructor at the first class. For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-731-6622.
