Party appetizer class makes summer entertaining easy, fun

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Having a summer party? Serve appetizers that capture the season and keep your guests asking for seconds. Portland Community College’s upcoming non-credit cooking class features delicious recipes. Party Appetizers and More will show you how to create mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres that look complicated but are easy to prepare. Join instructor Daphne Donahue to learn and taste recipes such as spanikopita triangles, hot crab and artichoke dip, sesame chicken with plum sauce and more. You will also discover the best tips for displaying and serving, and how to prepare appetizers so they are hot and tempting the moment your guests arrive. "It’s so easy!"read a recent student evaluation. "Now I can spend more time with my guests and less time in the kitchen." The one-day class will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 26, in Room 1411 E of the Washington County Workforce Training Center, 18624 N.W. Walker Road. Cost is $35.
