Make extra money with mystery shopping

PORTLAND, Ore. – Looking for clues to a career that gives you good wages, flexible hours and perks? Portland Community College might hold the keys to solving your mystery when you enroll in a new non-credit class in mystery shopping.Mystery Shopping 101 will reveal how to get into a field of expertise upon which more and more companies now rely. Mystery shopping is an evaluation of the shopping and buying process provided by trained shoppers who know in advance what they are to evaluate. Mystery shoppers visit or call businesses posed as ordinary customers and provide detailed evaluations of their experience using written reports or questionnaires. Sound easy? It is – and it also offers incredible independence as well as interesting work and profit. Instructor Abby Hyde will include 25 pages of information and 50 company contacts to get you started. This one-day class will be offered twice as follows: from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, June 17, or from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 21, in the Health Technology Building at PCC’s Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $35.
