Ace your interview through guided visualization

Photos and Story by

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Picture this: you’re sitting in an interview for the job of your dreams, and the person evaluating you is nodding, smiling and already picking up the phone to call your references. Just a daydream? Portland Community College can show you how to move this image from your mind to reality with a new non-credit course. Interviewing with Guided Visualization will teach you how to start seeing yourself successfully managing your interview and landing the job. Instructor Tanya Maldonado will demonstrate how mental visualization actually helps sharpen your skills. "Even if you have been to all the workshops and know the rules of interviewing, this visualization technique can greatly increase your chances of success,"said Maldonado. This class will take place from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, June 22 in Room 1539 of PCC’s Washington County Workforce Training Center, 18624 N.W. Walker Road. Cost is $19. For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-533-2707.
