CAMP Program at PCC Looking for Students for 2002-03

ROCK CREEK CAMPUS – The College Assistance Migrant Program at Portland Community College’s Rock Creek Campus is recruiting 20 students for the 2002-03 school year. A federal grant funds the CAMP program, which serves students from migrant and seasonal farmworking backgrounds. CAMP students will receive financial and academic assistance for the first year at PCC. The deadline to apply is Monday, April 15.CAMP is a $1.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education. This grant, which PCC shares with Chemeketa Community College, pays for tuition, books and technology training for the students. It also provides tutoring, developmental education classes and help with medical, dental and transportation.For eligibility criteria, an application or more information, contact Julio Galian, advisor in PCC’s Oregon Leadership Institute, at 503-614-7473.
