New Employee Welcome Mixers
We welcome and value our new hires at PCC! Starting in Winter 2022, the Inclusive Learning team began hosting bi-annual New Employee Welcome Mixers; a fun celebration of all our new staff (student, and casual employees included).
These mixers are designed for those unfamiliar with PCC’s culture and consist of a variety of activities covering different facets of understanding our college including:
- Activities for getting to know one another and building connections across the college
- Information sessions or panels with special guest speakers orienting new hires to the perks and benefits of being a member of PCC and how to get involved
- Games designed to better equip new hires with helpful internal knowledge and awareness of PCC culture
- Attendance from various members of the People Strategy, Equity, and Culture (PSEC) team for introductions and questions
Mixers also include:
- PCC swag
- A photo op with our very own mascot, Poppie the Panther!
When
Mixers are offered in the spring and fall terms.
Who
All new hires of all classifications are welcome to attend the mixers.
