This painting is a still life of items from my mother's wedding. This is her high heel, his tie, the bottle of wine they drank, and the box and ring with which he proposed. I wanted it to looked staged, but natural enough that they would have realistically been accidentally laid all together. My focus was realism as this is my wedding gift to them.
