This painting was my final project in my painting class under Chris Knight, and I used it as an opportunity for complete freedom of choice. I have a love for simple concepts in art - a bowl of fruit, a tranquil forest, a jar of old crayons - and I find these things the most fun for me to recreate on paper. This piece was entirely for personal enjoyment, studying an object, and experimenting with texture using acrylic paint.
