With this piece I explored oil paint techniques as I rendered an image of a still life set up I created from objects from my alter where I practice meditation and mindfulness work. Featured in the image is a cauldron and an animal bone. In the center is a glass bottle that contains lavender harvested from my herb garden.

I experimented with more abstract shapes and colors with accentuated brush strokes, creating a sense of dreaminess as if someone who had just woken up and hadn't yet wiped the sleep from their eyes peering through their window.
