This drawing is based on crossing personal borders, specifically being our most authentic selves. The lotus grows from the darkest waters towards the light and blooms this beautiful flower. In many cultures this represents transformation and resilience. The murky water in this drawing represents the noise that is societal expectations, shame, and judgements, and our own personal expectations, shame, and judgements that we put on ourselves. When we are our most vulnerable and authentic selves despite all the noise, we break free of those limitations. We bloom. The noise no longer affects how we show up in the world.
