This drawing was a practice sketch that we did in class to practice values, depth and volume. I used vine charcoal and pencil to do a light sketch to outline where I would place objects. I then used compressed charcoal and a charcoal pencil to fill in darker values and create shadows. I also took an eraser to deduct some of the grey tones to make highlights. I wanted to focus on getting the shape of things right.
