Who will be attending ADIM?

ADIM will be held in Columbia County, Oregon, and will be attended by middle and high school students from across the region. This event is not open to the general public.

How many students will attend?

We are anticipating approximately 200 students from regional schools.

Will there be food or drinks?

Lunch and water will be provided. Please indicate any dietary restrictions during registration.

Can I just show up to the event?

No – registration is required prior to arrival, as space is limited.

What if I’m not sure ADIM is for me?

That’s exactly why you should come. ADIM is built to show how modern manufacturing welcomes every identity, perspective, and lived experience. You’ll see how creativity, innovation, and technology come together in careers where diverse voices are valued – and where there’s a place for you, no matter your background!

  • Space is limited, so please register early! Student attendance will be capped at 200.
  • Each student will need to register, but students can upload a CSV with all their information. Email natalee.phelps@pcc.edu with additional questions.

  • Space is limited for industry partners, so please register early to reserve your spot as a
    learning station host, panelist, or resource table.
  • Please complete the industry registration form with your organization’s details and
    primary contact information.

Event overview

The Advancing Diversity in Manufacturing (ADIM) event introduces students to high-wage, high-demand careers in modern manufacturing. Through hands-on stations and live demonstrations, students explore technologies such as machining, automation, welding, and robotics – while seeing how diverse teams and inclusive workplaces drive innovation.

  • Students attend from 9am to 12pm.
  • After 12 noon, industry partners remain for lunch and an industry panel/roundtable focused on
    workforce diversity and collaboration between education and employers.
  • The event concludes at 2pm.
