Eligibility criteria
- Identify as Latino/a/x and/or Indigenous (Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean).
- Be a recent high school graduate and first-generation college student.
- Have a goal to seek a technical career, a one-year certificate, and/or a degree.
- The student has to be an Oregon resident (legal status does not impact the eligibility of a student).
- Students must enroll in 9 college credit classes (this qualifies as a part-time student) for the fall, winter, and spring terms. (ESOL students must also meet this requirement to be eligible.) For more information on ESOL, please visit the ESOL website.
To maintain eligibility, students must:
- Complete two academic check-ins with a CALI coordinator each term in person.
- Meet with an academic advisor once per term (complete/review Grad Plan).
- Participate in CALI events at least twice per term (events, activities, workshops) in person.
- Attend a week-long orientation – PCC Ready con CALI before the start of fall term.
- Commit to attend Study Tables weekly throughout the academic year (number of hours to be determined).
