Course Description
Covers advanced strategies of singles and double play for a level 4, or higher, player. Topics include: serving with a variety of spins, forehand and backhand smashes, drop shots, angle play and doubles formations. Examines strategies for successful scoring, fitness, flexibility, and nutrition. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of the course, student should be able to:
- Serve using a variety of techniques as expected of a level 4 player.
- Recognize offensive and defensive strategy as expected of a level 4 player.
- Utilize proper footwork and grips.
- Demonstrate advanced forehand and backhand strokes.
- Demonstrate frequently used terminology, including: dink, kitchen, banger, Bert, body shot, cookie, erne, falafel, and flapjack.
- Improve coordination.
- Analyze court awareness with shot selection and placement.
- Explain why fitness, flexibility, and nutrition are vital to playing pickleball at a high level.
- Explain how constructing points leads to winning.
Aspirational Goals
To play Pickleball, both doubles and singles, at a Pickleball rating of 4 or higher.
To enjoy Pickleball as a lifelong recreational activity.
