Course Description

Covers development of projects for non-profit and community clients. Explores the roles and requirements of a designer in a working studio. Emphasizes client communication strategies and professional practices. Required: Second-year standing in the Graphic Design program. Prerequisites: GD 124, GD 141, GD 151, GD 160.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  • Design effectively within client parameters.
  • Optimize design and production workflow through systematic project organization.
  • Determine actual project costs through documentation of billable hours and expenses.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to achieve intended project goals.
  • Adopt flexible strategies to manage multiple client projects and deadlines.
