Experiments corresponding to the topics covered in CH 104Z. CH 124Z is the laboratory component; CH 104Z is the lecture course. Must take both CH 104Z and CH 124Z to meet the lab science requirement. This course is part of Oregon Common Course Numbering. Corequisites: CH 104Z.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:
- Investigate chemical concepts in CH104Z.
- Follow standard safety procedures while working with chemicals and equipment in a laboratory setting.
- Demonstrate systematic problem-solving including physical measurements and unit conversions using SI and derived units.
- Analyze experimental data and results qualitatively and quantitatively using SI and derived units.
- Interpret and communicate in a clear and concise manner the results of experiments by applying chemical concepts.
