Course Description

Prepare technical leaders and subject matter experts to design, facilitate, and deliver effective workplace training using adult learning theory, facilitation techniques, coaching methods, and practice-based delivery.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Apply adult learning principles and training needs analysis methods to identify workplace learning gaps and training requirements.
Develop measurable learning objectives and structured training plans using the Tell–Show–Do–Reflect (TSDR) instructional framework.
Design learner-centered training activities, assessments, and practice opportunities aligned to workplace performance outcomes.
Demonstrate effective facilitation techniques including room management, learner engagement strategies, and adaptive instructional methods.
Respond effectively to common training challenges including resistance, disengagement, technical disagreements, and difficult group dynamics.
Deliver workplace training sessions using structured peer feedback and self-reflection processes to improve instructional effectiveness.
Create and implement a workplace training action plan to support transfer of learning and sustained training practices.
