Course Description

Covers hazard assessment, felling plan development, and modern felling techniques. Students will evaluate site conditions, understand hinge wood and load forces, and safely execute tree felling cuts under supervision.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Conduct a hazard assessment and develop a basic tree felling plan.
Explain and demonstrate modern felling cuts and proper hinge wood formation.
