Course Description
Presents an overview of nicotine addiction and specific evidence-based practices that have been demonstrated to contribute to successful nicotine cessation efforts.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to:
Deliver accurate information to individuals and/or groups using knowledge of nicotine addiction.
Serve as a referral source for individuals who are addicted to nicotine using an understanding of evidence-based nicotine cessation strategies and resources.
Apply the nicotine replacement treatment medications approach in assisting people in meeting nicotine cessation goals.
