Course Description

This workshop is for those with a basic understanding of project management who want to expand their knowledge and skills. It explores key project phases—initiation, planning, execution, and closeout—while introducing advanced tools and strategies for more effective management. Participants will engage in hands-on activities using practical techniques that can be applied directly in the workplace.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to:

Apply project management fundamentals and key PM concepts in practical scenarios.
Develop and organize tasks using the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to define project scope and deliverables.
Create and optimize project timelines using advanced scheduling techniques, including critical path and network diagrams.
Assess, evaluate, and mitigate risks using structured risk management strategies.
Design and implement a change control process to manage project scope and adjustments.
Strengthen team collaboration and stakeholder communication to drive project success. 
Explore emerging trends in project management, such as Agile, AI, and virtual teams, and identify potential PM career opportunities and certifications.
