Course Description

Study of Yogic Asana and Pranayama and their interrelationships. Techniques, training and practice will include mantra, yantra, dharana and dhyana. Review of Rama Jyoti Vernon's book on Asana I series. Lecture, discussion, demonstration and practice. Prerequisites: 200-hour RYT.

Intended Outcomes for the course

1. Correlate functions of organs with respect to Yogic theory
2. Understand core texts of Yoga Sutras Chapter 2
3. Explain Yogic perspectives of health and balance of mind, body, consciousness
