Course Description
This course will help you learn to teach model drawing as a way to give word problems effective visual context so students can solve them.
Intended Outcomes for the course
- Determine variables, make a visual representation of the problem, adjust that model for problem information, do the computation, and write a final sentence
- Set up two different things being compared in a typical rate problem
- Help students understand complex fraction concepts
