Course Description
Students will learn the basics of sterile processing including; infection control and prevention, decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, instrumentation, storage, distribution, inventory control, microbiology, medical terminology as well as anatomy & physiology.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Prepare students to sit for the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD) exam to work as Sterile Processing Technician.
