Course Description
Participants will learn about bearing types, materials and lubrication supply. Friction, hydromatic action and boundary lubrication. Lubricants, lubrication record keeping, specifications. Antifriction bearing nomenclatures, types, series designations, installation. Multi-sided and multi-angled problems. Bearing seals and packings.
Intended Outcomes for the course
The student will be able to define common terms, demonstrate proper record keeping and recommended maintenance, troubleshoot, describe and perform needed repairs and installations.
