Course Description

History, current programs and practices, and future issues of early childhood education. Includes professionalism, historic and current issues, types of programs for young children, parent interaction, job opportunities, ethical/legal issues and community resources. Develops a professional philosophy.

Addendum to Course Description

Requirement for a Certificate Level II in Early childhood Education and Associate of Applied Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.

1.  Describe historical and current influences on the Early Childhood
    Education field.
2.  Assess their current personal place in the ECE field.
