Course Description
A one-day training opportunity designed as professional development for practicing interpreters to update them in technological advances of the profession and to inform them about current national and state certification requirements.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Employ best practices when working with refugees from different countries, multiple languages, and cultures.
Recognize and utilize technological advances in the health care interpreting industry.
Use key strategies to develop and manage an independent contracting business.Better manage stressful interpreting sessions by using debriefing techniques that will avoid interpreting fatigue and stress.
