Course Description
Will cover Basics and contemporary issues in nutrition research; Client assessment and database resources. And, PHARMACOLOGY FOR THE NUTRITIONAL THERAPIST - Basic pharmacology, drug and nutrient interactions, nutriceuticals, IV nutrients.
Intended Outcomes for the course
- Access 5+ science-based research resources in nutrition for continuing learning
- Recognize the overlap between nutritional therapy and pharmacology and understand the process of drug and nutrient interactions
- Integrate concepts of best practices in nutriceutical science and biochemical drug pathways
