If you are an Oregon resident who is 62 or older, you may be eligible for free or discounted tuition rates with PCC’s Senior Options.
Option 1: 50% tuition discount for non-credit courses
This tuition discount applies to any of the hundreds of non-credit course offerings available through PCC. The discount does not apply to lab and other class fees, and may not be used for credit or CEU courses. After you register stop by any campus business office or call 971-722-4234 to request your senior discount. Once it is set up, there is no need to request it again for non-credit courses. The discount will be applied to your account the day after you register and may be viewed online via MyPCC. Limited grants are also available to Oregon residents age 62 or over who are unable to afford these reduced tuition rates for non-credit courses. Grants do not cover lab or other fees. Option 2: Receive a 100% tuition waiver for credit course audits (effective Fall 2010)
Courtesy of the Oregon state legislature, the college will waive tuition for credit courses taken for an audit grade when space is available in the course. These tuition waivers require instructor permission, do not cover lab and other class fees, and may not be used for non-credit or CEU courses. To qualify for the new waiver, you must:
- Be an Oregon resident who is 62 or older,
- Wait until the first day of class to register, and
- Have a signed registration form with instructor permission to audit the course
Instructions on how to receive a 100% tuition waiver for course audits will be provided on the Senior Option Registration Form.
Option 3: Priority registration for credit courses
If you wish to ensure you have a seat in the course, you can still register early if you are willing to pay for the class. Please refer to Registration and Tuition and Fees for additional information.
