Web standards

There are certain ways we do things on the PCC website to be compliant with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and PCC standards. As a public college, we’re legally required to meet certain national accessibility requirements, laid out by W3C and the federal government.

PCC standards

PCC has its own guidelines to make the website meet these accessibility requirements and to retain a consistent style throughout. All pages on the website use the same template, which means the pages are accessible to all users, load faster, render better on mobile devices, and are consistent will all other pages on the website. Following these standards optimizes our users’ experience throughout the entire pcc.edu website. The standards were developed from user experience information the PCC Web Team continually gathers through user feedback, usability studies and detailed user analytic data gathered behind the scenes.
