This page describes the PCC Title IX reporting process.

Referral received related to an incident of sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, or stalking. Information reviewed for safety and next steps.

Outreach and Advocacy Project or Student Conduct & Community Support staff offers supportive measures including on- and off-campus resources to the Reporting Party, explains other options including reporting to law enforcement, and initiating the next step in the process.

Reporting Party chooses how they would like to proceed. Reporting Party can change their mind at any point in the future.

Choose one:

  • Reporting Party chooses not to initiate the next steps in the process and continues to access supportive measures, resources, and accommodations. No further action is taken unless the Reporting Party changes their mind in the future or seeks additional supportive measures.stop
  • Reporting Party chooses to initiate the next steps in the process and files a Formal Complaint.arrow down

A Notice of Allegations is sent to both parties describing the nature of the allegations and parties’ rights during the process.

  • Both parties agree to participate in the Informal Resolution Process. See Informal Resolution Process section below.
  • One or both parties decline to participate in the Informal Resolution Process. See Investigation and Hearing Process section below.

Informal Resolution Process

Choose one:

  • Informal Resolution Process is successful; matter is closed. stop
  • Informal Resolution Process is not successful or either party declines to participate further in the Informal Resolution Process. Continue to the Investigation and Hearing Process section. arrow right

Investigation and Hearing Process begins. Reporting Party can withdraw their Formal Complaint at any time.
