PCC Dental Hygiene Program
Dental hygienists are licensed dental professionals who provide direct patient care, specializing in periodontal therapy and oral health education. They are employed in dental clinics, school settings and public health agencies. The Dental Hygiene Program is fully accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation and consists of two academic years resulting in an Associate of Applied Science degree. Students are also prepared for national and regional licensing exams.
