Pomodoro Technique

What is the Pomodoro Technique?

The Pomodoro Technique allows you to work on a task for 25 minute bursts, followed by a 5 minute break. The goal is to create focused blocks of time with a short break so you don’t feel overwhelmed.¹

How does it work?

  1. Pick a subject or task you need to complete for school.
  2. Set a 25 minute timer and work on your task.
  3. After your timer goes off, take a 5 minute break.
  4. Repeat the process. After four sessions, take a longer break.¹

If you’re not sure if the Pomodoro Technique will work for you, check out Study with Me videos. The following videos use the Pomodoro timing strategy and also body doubling, which can help with accountability.

After trying the Pomodoro Technique, you may find that you need a shorter or longer period of focus time. Adjust as needed so it works best for you!
