Life by Design NW Program Manager

The Life by Design NW Program is seeking a qualified person to manage the marketing, implementation and coordination of a new program designed to help retirees plan for successful and rewarding next phases of their lives.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership and coordination for the establishment and growth of the Life by Design NW Program.
  2. Direct all aspects of the operation of the program, represent the program to the community and lead and monitor subcontractor performance.
  3. Provide program and fiscal administration to include the development and management of the program budget and ensure that contractual obligations both financial and programmatic are met.
  4. Coordinate and conduct marketing of program to employers and the public.
  5. Work with Leadership Council to coordinate and direct fund development to meet budgetary commitments for LbD.
  6. Solicit corporate, foundation and individual financial support through personal contacts as well as writing grants.
  7. Design and maintain database and information systems to facilitate management reporting; track program expenditures, marketing and fundraising activities.
  8. Ensure the development and maintenance of the program website.
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Adult Education, Marketing or other related field.  Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Demonstrated experience in program development, marketing, fund raising, coordination and evaluation.  Strong background and experience working with retiree programs or initiatives, and with older adults in transition programs is preferred.  Experience in developing partnerships and facilitating multi-sector collaboration.

The individual will be on a contract for up to 12 months at $5000/mo. for approx. 32 hrs/wk.  The position will be housed at PCC, and report to the Leadership Council of Life by Design NW.

Hours of work are flexible and telecommuting is possible for some of the work time.
