Start your second career launching your own business.

Encore entrepreneurs are individuals 50+ who have retired, might have been laid off, and/or are looking to supplement their income by monetizing their experience of passion by starting their own business.

Encore entrepreneurship is on the rise. According to a Kauffman Foundation survey cited by Forbes, those aged 55 to 64 invest in new business ventures at a higher rate than other age groups—making up 23% of all new entrepreneurs.

If you’re interested in starting your own business, ENCORE Business Builders is a program the PCC Small Business Development Center offers geared specifically for encore entrepreneurs.
